Venice - Crossing Canal

Venice... Venice. Who could not love this city! So beautiful, so charming, so full of history and character.

I'd asked Uncle Din to paint Venice again and this is what he came up with. Shop by the Canal. The typical bridge(s) in the city.

This definitely will not be the last of the Venizia paintings. More will come.

PS: If you have a favourite Venice picture that you would like to capture on original oil painting, Uncle Din can undertake a personal commission. Please email us at linaford.canvascape@gmail.com for a quotation.

The Country House

I asked Uncle Din to paint a country house. Why? We live in a house set in (what a lot of urbanites would consider) "the country".

Uncle Din of course has painted something grandiose (or at least, slightly so) - certainly more than I'd imagined. Certainly better looking than my house. [Uhuh!....]

Anyway, this is a picture of a more 'authentic' European house; a picture that Uncle Din imagined or conjured up from some views / pictures that he might have seen.

Anyway, I have 'coined' this original oil painting, "The Country House".
